Phantom Effects has been very busy with numerous different productions and events since opening their studio doors in March 2018. We took over a 1300 square foot space located at Main Street Station (formerly the Cornwallis Inn) in the historical town of Kentville NS. Contact us for directions.
SPECIAL SESSION - PHANTOM'S FANTASY PHOTO-SHOOTS (Adult Only)

WORKSHOP - CREATE YOUR OWN CREATURE SPFX

Tuesday Evenings 7-9pm

Phantom Effects is going to start a series of workshops in 2019. This course will take you from start to finish character development. Each student may create an original character or may develop a character inspired by current film and television effects.
The course takes students through all the phases of character conceptualization and prosthetic application, including design, sculpture, molding, formulation of foam latex, as well as application, blending and coloring techniques.
At the end of the course, students will be required to design and create a fully developed prosthetic character for a professional head-shot photo shoot (allow editing time).
WORKSHOP - TRAUMA BASICS SPFX

This Trauma/Injury makeup workshop represents the art of duplicating realistic wounds, injuries and diseases for TV, film and theater. Other areas of application include Trauma Situations and training for police, the Fire Department, the Military and medical personnel. This makeup training has been designed to accommodate all skill levels. No prior experience is required.
WORKSHOP - GELATIN PROSTHETIC

Thursday Evening Booking 7-9pm

Learn how to create and apply your own movie-quality special effects makeup and apply gelatin prosthetics like a pro. This makeup training has been designed to accommodate all skill levels. No prior experience is required.

BY RESERVATION ONLY - $125 EACH - 19 YEARS & UP
These sessions will only be posted on our facebook page and are first come first serve. They sell out within the first few hours of being posted (only 6 spot available) so please like our page and stay tuned. The theme, costume and props are arranged by Jaimie prior to the session so wear a black base for the photo-shoot and come as you are. In this session you will learn basic makeup applications from our professionals, no prior makeup experience is needed.
*** Due to overwhelming interest in these session we are willing to setup private sessions but there must be a group of no more or less than 6 people for this to be entertained. Booking well in advance is recommended since our weekends are often booked with theatre and film projects.***
SPECIAL SESSION - YOUTH FANTASY PHOTO-SHOOT (pre-teen / teen girls)
